Reports have surfaced this morning that Marc Marquez has properly split all professional associations with Valentino Rossi’s companies (or is in the process of doing so). The news comes weeks after the Marc Marquez official fan club said that it was not going to the 2016 Mugello MotoGP because of fear of attack by other rider’s fans.
According to reports at Speedweek Marquez has decided that he doesn’t want Rossi’s VR46 Racing Apparel firm selling Marquez branded clothing.

The VR46 Racing Apparel company is run by senior members of Valentino Rossi’s fan club and Rossi himself is thought to have little to do with the set-up directly.
Marquez’ merchandise will now be produced by Italian company GP Racing Apparel which looks after the likes of Jorge Lorenzo, Nicky Hayden and Andrea Doivizioso.
According to a report on the Spanish website Motocuatro.com and reported by GP expert David Emmett, Marquez has also made the decision that he is no longer going to rent any room in the GP Rooms mobile hotels which are run by the Nieto family. Angel Nieto, thirteen-times World Champion’s son and former racer Pablo Nieto is manager of the VR46 Sky Moto3 team.
