Honda’s much-wanted CBR250RR is the rumoured-bike that seems to be refusing to go away and this month there’s a raft of even more rumours about the screaming quarter-litre bike appearing in next year.

As you’d expect, the little sportster is far more track-oriented than any of the road-based, easy-going motorcycles we’ve seen recently from Honda and apes the screaming exotic small-capacity motorcycles of the 1980s and 1990s.
Styling comes right from the Fireblade school of looking quick and at the moment this is being touted by the Japanese press as a bike which is going to be available in Europe during 2016 and beyond.
Given the raft of patents that we’ve seen recently for superchargers to be bolted onto new motorcycles what do you reckon to the idea that this 250, angled for the track (in a similar way to the way that Yamaha focused the latest generation R1) could be a supercharged motorcycle with exquisite handling and 600-like power?
