Guy Martin’s Land Speed Record attempt with Triumph looks to be in tatters after bad weather hit the famous Salt Flats where the Lincolnshire man was to pilot the 1000bhp Triumph Streamliner in August.
News has just come in that the Bonneville Speed Week has been cancelled. An official announcement has been posted by SCTA (Southern California Timing Association) saying that the SCTA President Bill Latin and the BNI Chairman Roy Creel inspected the course and found that the salt was not in good enough state to stand up to speed record attempts.

Now it seems as though the team will have to find another venue for the attempt or postpone it until the Salt Flats are in good enough condition for the Brit to try for the two-wheeled record.
