Oh no! It looks like Guy Martin’s dream of getting out in the Triumph Streamliner 1000bhp Rocket III missile for a crack at the Land Speed record may have been sidelined because of bad weather.
The governing body looking after the event, due to be held at the end of August, have – according to report in the US of A – cancelled the runs at the Bonneville Salt Flats.
The condition of the salt is to blame. Bad weather has left the salt layer very thin and it has succumbed to wet and muddy conditions, too.
