Here’s new patents files by Suzuki that show the factory is working on a 500cc parallel twin with a tubocharger.
The drawings clearly show the tubocharger mounted on the exhaust downtubes whilst the side-on drawings show that the bikes will have a single-sided swingarm (similar in look to that used on the Ducati Diavel) but will also feature a long wheelbase but fairly sporty-yet-upright riding position.
We have been told that special attention has been paid to how quickly the bike will lay into corners, the front wheel has been pulled back to the engine to give the bike a lightness of feel whilst the overall centre of gravity is very low indeed to keep up the machine’s nimble nature. The long wheelbase will mean that on straights and motorways the new bike should be very well mannered.
We’ve asked Suzuki for it’s official reaction to our scoop and as soon as we’ve heard from them we’ll let you know what they say.
We love the look of this bike. What do you think to it?
