According to the World Superbike website, Max Biaggi is returning to the World Superbike Championship.
In 2012, Biaggi announced his retirement soon after he picked up his second world crown.

He will race again at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli on 19-21 June and then at the Sepang International Circuit at the start of August. Racing as part of the Aprilia Racing Team – Red Devils colours, Biaggi will race as team-mate to Leon Haslam and Jordi Torres.
The racing star hasn’t been far from the paddock since he left the series as he’s been working as a test riders and a television commentator for Italian broadcaster Mediaset.
Biaggi will be the second former World Champion to head back to the series, after Troy Bayliss rode for Ducati in Australia and Thailand.
