If you’re up for some cracking old bike action then check this out on August 2.
More than 100 classic trials machines will compete in a stage of the Northern British Bike Pre-65 Trials Championship (NBBC) at the Llangollen International Motorcycle Festival – LlanBikeFest 15 (www.llanbikefest.co.uk) – on Sunday, August 2nd.
All of the bikes are at least 50 years old and will be ridden on the show site from 11.00 am to 2.00 pm, as part of a championship round hosted byLlangollen and District Motorcycle Club. It will include more than 20 miles of off-road sections and minor roads in the area.

Organised by the Poachers Pre 65 Trials Club, the seven round trial series is a tough test of rider skill and machine reliability, with classes for expert and clubman riders.
The Sunday trials event will follow the Saturday opening of the festival by seven-times TT winner Mick Grant (pictured riding in a pre-65 trial) andCarl ‘Foggy’ Fogarty MBE, the most successful World Superbike (WSB) racer of all time.
LlanBikeFest 15 organiser Harry Edwards said: “The championship is one of the highlights of trials year, so there will be some fantastic bikes taking part, with riders from all over the country. The weekend will really offer something for everyone who is into bikes.”
The Llangollen site has previously hosted successful bike shows – the last in 2011 – but LlanBikeFest 15 is being organised by a new team of local motorcycle enthusiasts, led by Harry.
The Llangollen International Motorcycle Festival at the town’s Pavilion is set amid some of Britain’s best biking roads – at the foot of the Horseshoe Pass and its famously bike-friendly Ponderosa Café, and on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park.
On-site attractions will include displays, stunts, demonstrations, trade and club stands, plus beer, bands and evening entertainment. There will also be ride-outs from the site to explore some of the area’s most beautiful roads and scenery.
