The Explore-R can be worn in a variety of ways depending on style of riding – sunshield only, visor only, goggle only, peak and goggles as well as the peak and sunshield. New for 2015, it can now be worn with a visor and peak.
Those who have already bought the Explore-R can contact the dealer it was purchased from and get a conversion kit.
Made from Shark’s carbon skin technology, the helmet combines carbon and aramid fibres to create its structure. It also features a second skin for further shock absorption.
The visor features an Autoseal System that secures the visor when closed, giving better ventilation and fit. There’s also a Rapid Antifog System that locks the visor into an open or closed position to circulate air more efficiently.
The interior of the helmet is made using a bamboo treatment that is hypoallergenic, antibacterial and offers perspiration absorption. The lining also has the easy fit option for riders who wear glasses along with cut-away sections so a SHARKTooth or other Bluetooth systems can be fitted.
A number of colour options are available: Carbon Skin that shows the carbon structure of the helmet with a clear gloss finish, as well as white and black colours. There is also the Arachneus graphic which is available in WBS, KRA and matt SBK.
