The Piaggio Multimedia Platform (PMP) transforms your smartphone into a multifunctional on-board computer. Linking the smartphone technology to scooter via Bluetooth®, PMP collects information from your machine and displays it on the phone’s screen in real time, as you ride. Speed, rpm, power and torque, instant and average fuel consumption, average speed and battery voltage can all be viewed.
Depending on the machine and the smartphone’s features, PMP will flash your virtual dashboard if you forget to cancel the indicators; warn you of low fuel and automatically guide you to the nearest petrol station; and can also check the status of your scooter, tell you what to do in case of a fault and direct you to the nearest authorised dealer.

The App stores your trip statistics and performance, so they can be viewed along your route map. They can be downloaded to your MyPiaggio profile to share, compare and comment with other users.
The PMP system costs £127 and is available for the 2014 Vespa GTS ABS and 946; the 2014 Piaggio X10 350/500; and the 2014 MP3 ABS. It will be rolled out across other models from the Piaggio group soon. The App – and updates for it – can be downloaded free of charge from Appstore and Google Play. For further information contact your nearest Piaggio dealer, via the dealer locator at www.piaggio-scooters.co.uk/uk
