The WPL245 – the leather option – has a combination of cowhide for toughness on the back and goat skin for feel on the palm and underside of the fingers. Not only are the fingers pre-curved but Spandex stretch panels over the 2nd knuckles improve the ergonomics of holding the grips making it less tiring over longer distances. The 1st knuckles have a hard-moulded protector to fend off any knocks.
Inside there’s Thinsulate quilting to keep the cold out and the warmth in, a Hipora membrane Z-liner to repel the wind and wet plus an Acryl comfort liner. Additional features include an anti-slip palm panel and reflective piping on the cuff.
Also keeping the wind out is an adjustable wrist belt and a Velcro cuff closure. The WPL245 Winter Glove is available in black only in sizes ranging from XS to 3XL to ensure the perfect fit and is priced at £39.99.
At £10 less there’s the WP430 textile glove, with many of the same features but constructed in heavy-duty Nylon with leather finger panels. You get the Hipora and Thinsulate liners as well as the finger stretch panels. The cuff has reflective panels and piping and uses a stretch-cord type closure. The same range of sizes are offered and but they are priced at £29.99.
