Powered by a 249 cm3 4-stroke Single cylinder engine making 28bhp@9700rpm and 17lb-ft@8200rpm, mounted in a trellis frame, the newest Z offers sporty performance in a slim, lightweight and compact package. Designed for the sports-minded urban commuter, this light, racy machine offers competitive Ninja-based performance, quick, nimble handling, and sporting ergonomics – an ensemble sure to turn heads as you navigate the concrete jungle.
This new entry level Supernaked appeals to those who crave excitement with its sharp and aggressive Sugomi styling that considers engineering and design elements as a unified package. At the heart of the Z250SL is a single cylinder 4-stroke engine with superior power feeling and riding excitement. Sporty suspension, the slim and compact trellis frame and comfort tuned Supernaked ergonomics all offer stability and nimble riding enjoyment to complete the Z family range.
The all new single cylinder four-stroke power-plant features finely-tuned fuel injection and dual overhead camshafts to give the best performance. The 249cm3 liquid cooled engine will always entice you to enjoy the ride whether negotiating daily traffic or having a fun blast out of town. Furthermore, the handy electric start ensures an easy and carefree start-up every time.
The engineers at Akashi designed the Z250SL with form following function as the design of the fuel tank and trellis frame create a slim, narrow package, allowing the rider a compact riding position from which to control this sporty machine. A wide, flat-style handlebar enables direct dynamic response from the rider and contributes to the Z250SL’s easy manoeuvrability. The slim, sculpted fuel tank exhibits a narrow grip between the rider’s legs for a compact riding position and commendable all-round performance.
Reinforcing the Sugomi design and performance philosophy, the Z250SL features sporty suspension in the form of a 37mm telescopic front fork and 5-way preload adjustable Uni-Trak rear shock. Stopping power of the 290mm front petal disc and 220mm rear petal disc is aided by an optional ABS unit boasting Nissin’s latest cutting edge technology for the motorcycle world.
Kawasaki dares you to dream big and enter the world of two-wheeled thrills with the Z250SL. Settling for less is no longer an option in the under 300cc class as the Z250SL lives up to its family name and brings Sugomi style and performance to every level of rider.
A Supernaked in its own right, this modern and edgy motorcycle sets a new standard for the class.
