Denmark’s first motorcycle hearse has been launched in the presence of Danish bike enthusiasts from the world wide Harley Owners Group, HOG.
Due to an increasing demand for individual funerals in Denmark, the National Association of Funeral Directors, “Begravelse Danmark”, has introduced Denmark’s first motorcycle hearse – a custom-made 2013 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra with a sidecar, able to carry a coffin or an urn.

As a start, two Danish undertakers are scheduled to take care of this new business model. Both have been biking for more than 20 years now, but so far only as a pastime, and they are very optimistic about their new challenge. “I am very pleased to be a part of this new initiative. It is a new opportunity to bid a dignified farewell to your loved ones in a very personal and special way” says Lars Askholm, one of the new motorcycle-undertakers
In Denmark, more than 150,000 people own a motorcycle – almost 3 percent of all Danes.
