I’ve already noticed many drivers are now backing well off my tail if they approach me, or I’ve just overtaken them – far more so than when I’m in my usual bike gear. A colleague who has one designed for horse riders (remember that this model is created specifically for bikers) says the same thing – it really works!
The POLITE Motorbike & Cycling Waistcoat costs £32.99 in a range of sizes, and comes in yellow or pink. I had no problems fitting it over either my leather jacket or my fabric winter kit. Velcro side straps ensure the waistcoat won’t flap around in the wind, and two internal pockets are a useful touch.
