Italian company Vibram – best known for its five-toed shoes – has announced it’s getting involved in producing motorcycle kit. In recent years Vibram has made a name for itself selling rubber soles to shoemakers, including the likes of CAT, Danner and The North Face – but now it’s looking to make waves in the motorcycle industry.
We’re most excited about its eclectic range of soles for a range of different motorcycle boot applications. The one that caught our eye was its new Supermoto sole, which allows you to replace your boots sole once you’ve ground it away, using a selection of modular pucks. It’s a really clever idea which would negate the needs to replace your boots on a regular basis – as you could simply switch out the part of the sole that’s in bad shape.

That’s not all though; there are soles for street and track boots, off-road boots, motocross boots and adventure-touring boots too – and the Italians are also producing grips, seats, tank protectors, and frame pads, using its expertise with rubber to create new solutions for motorcyclists. Very cool.
