Alpinestars has launched a new racing collection for 2018, and out of the bunch, its new Atem V3 full piece leathers has caught our eye.
Developed using proven technologies from MotoGP, the new Alpinestars Atem V3 suit is characterised by the innovations of performance and protection it offers – making it the perfect companion no matter whether you’re blatting around a track, or doing some serious miles on the road.

The CE approved suit is constructed from 1.3mm leather, with flexible panels in the lumbar, back, knees and elbows to offer improved comfort and freedom of movement. Plus, there’s stretch fabric Alpinestars Hyper-Res Stretch Fibre inserts in the inner area of the leg, back and inside the arms, which again helps to ensure a comfortable fit. The Atem’s chest and leg area also features perforated panels, to provide ventilation and internal air flow.
From a safety perspective, the new Atem V3 features internal removable GP-R protection (developed and tested in MotoGP) on the shoulders, elbows, knees and tibia – and incorporates GP-DFS protection on the shoulder area, in addition to GP kneepads for abrasion and impact resistance.
MCM and MoreBikes.co.uk Editor-in-chief, Tony Carter swears by his Atem V2’s, and says they’ve saved him on more than one occasion – so you should be confident that they’ll look after you should the worst happen. You’d expect them too though, as they’ll set you back just shy of £1000.
The Atem V3 is available in sizes ranging from 48” to 60”, in four different colour combinations. For more information, visit: www.alpinestars.com
