Wirelessly connect to your Harley or Honda with the Sena FreeWire!

Sena has joined forces with Harley and Honda, launching the FreeWire, a Bluetooth adapter which allows users to wirelessly connect to their bikes.

Developed by Bluetooth innovators Sena, the FreeWire is the first device that’s been specifically designed to work with both Harley-Davidson and Honda Gold Wing infotainment systems. In short, it’s an eagerly anticipated solution to the current wired connection between rider headset and machine.

The clever device is capable of connecting wirelessly to CB radio, GPS sat-nav systems and radio stations, while a built-in AUX port also allows the device to be connected directly with a sat-nav, radar detector or even an MP3 player.  Simply connect the FreeWire to your bike and then pair with your Sena Bluetooth headset, and you’re ready to ride.

The FreeWire turns on and off with the engine, and for longer trips can be charged through a lighter output, or with a Sena power bank. You can also incorporate a second FreeWire into your setup, allowing easy wireless communication between rider and pillion, in partnership with the bikes internal intercom system.

Available for Honda Goldwing or Harley-Davidson in either Orange or Red – the FreeWire costs £232.18 and has two optional mounting accessories – either a mounting base, or a handlebar mounting kit which costing additional £10.24.

For charging, the micro USB to cable DIN 5 (for Honda) or 7 pins (for Harley-Davidson) is priced at £41.83, while the 5V (lighter) charger costs £17.07.
