See the new range of TCX boots at Motorcycle Live

TCX has announced a new range of motorcycle boots for 2017. You can see the whole range at Motorcycle Live (November 19-27 at the NEC), but in the meantime, here are some tasters from the Italian manufacturer before the show:

RT-Race and RT-Race WP

A brand-new boot in the TCX racing line, the RT-Race has been designed with an aggressive look, a more streamlined racing shape in the toe area and features a new sole design.

The boot features the ‘Fasten Fit Control’ internal fastening system – long-lasting laces joined to the boot lining and newly-designed padded tongue. This ensures that the upper part of the boot wraps the foot for maximum fit precision and sensitivity for the rider’s individual foot anatomy.

There’s a zip fastening on the outside, partnered with an elasticated panel and a newly designed over-injected elastic front area. The boot is fitted with a micro-adjustable, quick-release aluminum buckle designed for various calf shapes. The internal lining is made of Air Tech breathable material with various thickness padding in the ankle area for comfort.

The RT-Race benefits from the new ‘Double Flex Control’ system – the ultimate innovation developed in the TCX Research and Development department – offering an excellent balance between flexibility and protection. The system allows the foot and leg to naturally flex forwards and backwards but prevents overextension of the ankle joint to limit the risk of injury. It’s also been designed to absorb impact energy and compression.

PU reinforcements cover the most vulnerable areas of the foot and an interchangeable polyurethane rear slider allows natural sliding across the tarmac in the event of a fall. The sole is made of single-compound rubber, the new tread features differentiated zones designed for superior grip.

The boot is available in four colour options (white/black, black/yellow fluo, white/red/yellow fluo and black) with an RRP of £229.99. The RT-Race is also available in a waterproof version in black with an RRP of £249.99.

Drifter WP

The Drifter WP boot features a soft brown leather upper with added gear change protection, double stitching and intermediate footbed to make it robust, plus microfibre front and rear folds. It has a waterproof lining and internal protection against heat in chamois leather.

The boot fastens using three wear-resistant, interchangeable aluminum buckles with an ergonomic design. The soles have a deep tread and there are inserts in the ankle area and polyurethane shinbone protection. The Drifter WP has an RRP of £259.99.

Rush WP

The result of painstaking detailing work by TCX, the Rush WP oozes a sporty look. The upper is constructed from various materials – matt soft touch microfibre to chamois leather and mesh fabric – to make the collar soft and comfortable. Importantly for the unpredictable UK climate, the Rush boot features a waterproof internal lining. It fastens using a classic lacing system, which is completed by a Velcro brand. There are reinforcements on the toes, ankle and heel areas.

Available in two colour options – black and black/yellow – the boot has an RRP of £99.99.

Street Ace WP

A natural evolution to the original ‘biker sneakers’ launched by TCX, the Street Ace WP reassert TCX’s domination in producing protective footwear that looks just as good on the bike as off.

Made from full grain vintage-look leather with a classic lacing system for a secure fit, the Street Ace benefit from a shaper design and redesigned sole with tread guaranteed to give you ultimate grip. There’s protection at the toe, heel and ankle and a waterproof lining provides maximum protection against adverse weather conditions.

Available in three colour options – black, coffee brown and Dakar brown – the Street Ace WP has an RRP of £119.99.

The Street Ace is also available for women with a specially-designed sole for the shape of a female foot to offer ultimate comfort. The sole features a 2.5cm inner heel too. Available in three colour options – matt black with studs (Street Dark Lady), dark grey and cold grey/fushia – the Street Ace Lady WP has an RRP of £119.99.
