I love motorcycle boots – short ones, long ones, casual ones, race ones – there are so many on the market in a variety of styles that there is something out there for everyone. The CE certified Stella S-MX 6 boots from Alpinestars are unmistakably a ‘race’ style boot and are packed with technology.
The main upper material is made from advanced micro-fibre for abrasion resistance, there’s a TPU lateral ankle brace and a shin guard, calf protector, heel counter, shift pad and toe slider. There’s supports and protection galore throughout the boot so you’re safe in the knowledge that should you have a spill then you’ll be a lot better off than wearing non-CE certified footwear.
As like most race-styled boots, they have a side entry opening system with a zipper and a large Velcro closure at the top. What I really like is the attention to detail, as the zip has a Velcro patch on it – flip it up to secure that in the Velcro too – check out the picture to see what I mean.
They open nice and wide so you can get them on and off easily and the breathable textile interior lining keeps your feet fresh – even on those warm days. A vented version is available too.
They’re extremely comfortable and they’ve fit in with the rest of my gear seamlessly. There’s plenty of room for your race leathers too – although when I wear them with my riding jeans over the top my mum says I look like Michael Jackson because of the flash of white…
