Harley-Davidson ladies motorcycle boots – Jenell | £169.99 | www.harley-davidson.co.uk / 0871 641 2508 | Tested by Carli Ann Smith
The Harley-Davidson merchandise range has pretty much anything you can think of – BBQ’s, tents, baby clothes, dog toys, jewellery – and the range of clothing is vast. Therefore, it might not come as a shock to find out that they make some great footwear too.

Wolverine Worldwide is the company behind Harley footwear – they also look after brands such as Cat, Hush Puppies and Sebago.
By looking at them, you can tell these are serious boots – they’re sturdy and thick. At first glance, you may think they are going to be heavy and cumbersome, but once you get them on, you realise that they aren’t. They’re relatively lightweight and the sole, even though it looks completely solid, is flexible.
The Jenell boot is a CE certified ladies motorcycle boot made from full-grain waterproof leather with a waterproof lining. Since getting them I’ve worn them for all sorts, riding the bike, washing the bike and dog walking – and they’ve stood up to it all. I’ve splashed through puddles and they’re proved their waterproof properties on many occasions.
They fasten up using good old-fashioned laces, but what I really like about them is the zip on the outside of the boot which means you can get them on and off quickly, without having to unlace.
The sole has something called a ‘Goodyear welt construction’ – a method mainly associated with a high-end dress shoe; it’s synonymous with durability, shape retention and the ability to be repaired again and again.
There’s a slight heel on them – 1.5” to be precise – which can come in handy on taller bikes if you struggle to get your feet down and the boot extends up past your ankle offering that all important protection should you need it.
I really like boots which give a lot of feeling – I like to be able to feel the gears rather than clunk through them hoping – I get that in the Jenell boots, so it’s a thumbs up from me.
Available in ladies sizes 3-7. Check out the harley-davidson.co.uk website for more information on your local authorised Harley-Davidson dealer.
It’s worth checking out the full range as there are a number of styles for men and women. They do an awesome range of casual footwear too – I’ve had quite a few pairs of Harley boots, the latest ones are called ‘Cyndie’ and they retail for £164.99. They even do flip flops…
