The 2017 Dutch TT winner will start Sunday’s race from 14th on the grid after missing out on a Q2 place
Team Suzuki Ecstar’s Alex Rins eased through to the fight for pole position after comfortably topping Q1 at the Motul TT Assen. Rins is joined in Q2 by Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Pol Espargaro after the Spaniard clinched second spot with his final lap.
After missing out on a place in Q2 due to his fastest FP3 lap being cancelled due to exceeding track limits, Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP’s Valentino Rossi failed to make it through to Q2 and as a result will start from 14th on the grid.
