Check out this awesome design sketch from Oberdan Bezzi, which reimagines BMW’s R 1200 C cruiser for the modern day.
The original BMW R 1200 C cruiser was manufactured between 1997 and 2004 – and at the time, it was a massive departure from BMW’s typical output. With rumours currently swirling the Bavarian factory’s working on its next generation cruiser, famed designer Oberdan Bezzi has created a design sketch of what he reckons the new R 1250 C should look like. And it looks fantastic, ready to challenge Ducati’s Diavel and Triumph’s upcoming Rocket III.
Of course, BMW has recently released its new 1250cc power plant, which has been fitted to the latest generation big R 1250 GS and R 1250 RT – so it would make sense for a new R 1250 C cruiser to make it to market. But with a new 1800cc Boxer engine on its way too, there’s a good chance the Germans will make use of the larger unit in its new cruiser – even if it doesn’t look quite like Bezzi’s imagined design. Time will tell.
