A few months ago Portuguese stunt-rider Ricardo Domingos competed in the Baja 500 Portalegre on a Suzuki GSX-R1000 – and we’ve got our hands on some video of him in action.

Finishing 24th out of 70 in the amateur category – it may come as a surprise that Domingos only made a handful of changes to his GSX-R1000 ahead of the competition, adding a set of off-road rubber, high handlebars, and a new, less aggressive engine map. But as you can see in the videos – it didn’t seem to hold him back, as he picked his way through the course on arguably one of the least practical bikes for the job. Fair play Domingos.
