Countdown to Herts Air Ambulance Motorcycle Run

Calling all bikers! Join Herts Air Ambulance for their brand new Motorcycle Run sponsored by MotorcyclesDirect.co.uk on Sunday 4^th May and help raise all important funds for your life-saving helicopter.

Bikers will meet at the Herts Police HQ in Welwyn Garden City and follow a 60 mile route along the A1 – A10 – A120 – M11 finishing at the Essex Motorcycle Show at North Weald Airfield, the home of the Herts Air Ambulance.  

There will be some fantastic attractions at the Show following the run including trade stands from various motorcycle dealers, stunt activities and the opportunity to try out the latest demo bikes or even ride in a super car! The Herts Air Ambulance helicopter will be present on the day subject to operations for people to view up close and meet the Crew.

Wendy Marcon-Knightley, Sponsorship & Events Manager at Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust, said: “We are really excited to be launching our Motorcycle Run in Hertfordshire as a direct response to our supporters’ suggestions of how we could use our unique assets for fundraising events. With the run culminating at the Herts Air Ambulance Base it is a perfect opportunity to get close to the very aircraft that our supporters fundraise for and to speak to the Crew firsthand.”

The event opens at 9:00am, with refreshments available before the ride starts at 10:30am. Tickets are £10 per rider and £15 per rider and pillion. Please note that ‘L’ plate riders cannot participate due to the route being on motorways.
