It’s Top Gun time again with the filming going on for Top Gun 2 right now. Top Gun is the seminal 1980s movie about fighter pilots and big Kawasakis (yeah) – and with the video (at the bottom of this article) filed by the Daily Mail and TMZ.com we can now get a look at what motorcycle Tom Cruise is riding in the latest movie.

And, thankfully, Cruise is riding anoth big Kawasaki in the film – specifically a 2018 Kawasaki H2 (above) – which is a sequel to the 1986 original. In that film from 32 years ago, Cruise’s character Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell famously rode a Kawasaki GPz900R and it looks like the Kawasaki theme has continued across the three decades since the last cinematic outing.
Top Gun: Maverick is scheduled for release in July, 2019.
