We showed you this first a few months ago, but it’s worth putting this on here again – it’d be a shame to forget that this awesome looking thing is in the ether…
Here, then, is the first look at a pretty big secret – Honda’s new V-twin SUPERCHARGED big naked. A bike that the Japanese factory has kept well under lock and key.

Whilst we now have the new CB1000R, a big naked derived from the 2006 Fireblade superbike, these big naked patents seem much more likely to be a totally new model, not aligned to the Blade lineage in any way.
The things to notice are: the bike has a trellis-type frame with a lightweight subframe bolted directly to the back of the motor. The swingarm is conventionally double-sided, the huge filter on the left hand side of the motor suck the air in to then be worked on by the supercharger fitted between the front and rear cylinder bank on the bike.
What do you reckon? Should this be the new Hornet or is it too ‘Ducati Monster’ for you? Looks like Honda is aggressively going for the big naked V market all on its own – only now with a massive supercharger slapped in the middle.
Nice.
