Keeping your bike safe from thieves is relatively easy at home if you have a garage, chain and lock, and a ground anchor, but when you’re out and about on the bike, you don’t want to carry heavy equipment with you. Disc locks, on the other hand, are small enough to slip in your pocket while you’re on the bike. They don’t offer the same level of protection as heavier equipment, but they are easy to carry around and might just be enough to put an opportunistic thief off.
