TT final practice of Practice Week is on now and so far Hutchy is flying (Dunlop is flying too – there’s a lot of them flying right now in near perfect evening conditions) – and the headline at the moment is that Ian Hutchinson has bagged a best of 132.803mph – faster than John McGuinness’ 132.701mph lap record set in last year’s Senior race. And Hutchy set that on a Superstock bike… the Tyco BMW Superstock bike.
Of course, that amazing lap by Hutchy is unofficial – only laps set in the races stand as records – but right now the new fastest ever lap of the TT is held by Ian Hutchinson. Michael Dunlop managed a 131.8mph in the session.
