In an effort to influence change and encourage a more proactive approach to climate change, MotoGP organisers have confirmed plans to be emissions free by 2027 – and is also planning to shift to sustainable fuel solutions from 2024.
The synthetic or bio-fuels will be able to be used in a standard internal combustion engine and will either
be laboratory-created or derived from municipal waste or non-food biomass.
