If you’ve not had enough of your Guy Martin fix for the year then tune in to Channel 4 on Thursday, March 17th at 9pm to see the sideburned chap pit a BMW S1000RR against David Coulthard in a V8 Red Bull F1 car.
It’s part of the build up to the channel showing F1 these days – the show’s publicity says this: With David in a V8 Red Bull car (with an 11 man pit crew) and Guy on his Tyco BMW Superbike (which came with just one man – Guy’s most trusted race mechanic), the pair explore each other’s worlds the way they both know best; by racing in a series of head-to-head challenges including a drag race, a brake test, a slalom and a full on circuit race.
The duel happened at Silverstone, it’s a one-off show as part of the Speed with Guy Martin series.
