The Shoei Hornet ADV adventure helmet is new for 2015. It’s intercom-ready and is available in four different shell sizes to ensure a perfect fit – XS-XXL.
It features Shoei’s emergency quick release system (E.Q.R.S) – in the event of an accident, the lining of the helmet can be removed quickly by pulling on two red tabs, making it easier to remove the whole helmet.
The peak protects against sun – and rocks – and contains vents for reduced buffeting. For ventilation, there are four inlet vents at the front and six outlets at the back.
It has removable and washable liners and chin strap cover as well and ear pads promise noise reduction.
It features an AIM (Advanced Integrated Matrix) shell – meaning there are seven layers of composite fibres for optimum shock absorption. There’s multi-density polystyrene padding, a double D fastener, a large visor aperture and a Pinlock CNS-2 anti-fog system.
