Watsonian sidecars continue to expand their range of fittings for modern motorcycles, with a new kit for attachment to the Suzuki Bandit 1250.
The big Bandit’s 100 hp water-cooled, fuel-injected, torque-laden motor is well suited to sidecar work and the bike’s tubular steel is strong, with plenty of mounting points for the fitting kit.

The Monza sidecar pictured is attached to the Bandit 1250 using Watsonian’s updated fitting system, which features a tubular sub-frame that is inserted between the motorcycle and sidecar, improving the transfer of weight from sidecar to bike, for more consistent load-bearing.
Originally introduced in the early 1960’s as a single seat sports sidecar, the Monza has proved to be one of Watsonian’s most enduring designs. Manufactured from GRP glass fibre, with a black or white gel coat finish as standard, many other colours are available for an additional £100 and there is the option for full colour paint match too. Customers can choose from three different styles – DL, with 10 inch alloy wheel and sports mudguard, Jubilee, with 15 inch wire spoked wheel, mudguard to suit, polished stainless steel rear chassis loop and cast alloy step plate or Classic, featuring 10 inch wheel with stainless steel trim and heavily valanced 50’s style mudguard.
Prices for the Monza sidecar start at £4995 including VAT. With more than 100 years experience, Watsonian offer fittings for a wide range of both modern and classic motorcycles, a factory fitting service and tuition for novice drivers.
Watsonian’s showroom is open to the public six days a week. For more information call 01386 700907 or visit www.watsonian-squire.com.
